Order keyed alike cylinder locks

Want to easily order cylinder locks in different sizes? With a button, without a button and also half cylinders? This is done quickly and error-free with our selection aid. Even if you have gone through the entire procedure, you can still change everything at the end.

Step 1.

You will find the Selection Aid on our homepage . There the question is: 'How many cylinders do you need?'. By clicking on the number of cylinders you want, you will go to the first step.

Step 2.

Here you simply indicate the type, inner size and outer size per cylinder.

Type of cylinder
Under the 'Type of cylinder' tab you will find three choices:

  • Half cylinder; can be locked on one side with a key, on the other side nothing;

  • Cylinder knob; lockable on one side with a key, the other side with a button;

  • Profile cylinder; can be locked on both sides with a key.

Step 3.

Inner and outer dimensions
Under the inner and outer dimensions tabs, indicate which length of cylinder you need. The distinction between the inner and outer dimensions is only relevant for knob cylinders; After all, the button must be on the inside. It makes no difference for the half and profile cylinders. Half cylinders are always ten millimeters on one side. This can be on the inside, for example in the case of a one-sided lockable storage door, but it can also be on the outside, for example in a sliding door.

In step three you can choose whether you are looking for a cylinder in SKG** or SKG*** and whether you think it is necessary to use a certified system.

SKG inspection
You can choose from an SKG** or an SKG*** quality mark. An SKG*** cylinder is of course always better, so if in doubt, choose it. Of course it can always change. In our previous blog you will find more information about the difference between the different quality marks.

Certification
There are different types of keys. The main difference is certified versus non-certified. A non-certified key can always be counterfeited without anyone checking whether it is your key. This way, anyone who has your key can copy the key. Usually that is of course no problem; You wouldn't give your key to someone you don't trust, would you? Yet that does happen. A gardener, your daughter's boyfriend or of course all kinds of business issues with staff. A certified key will not be counterfeited without your knowledge. When you purchase the lock, you will receive a credit card-sized key certificate. With this certificate you can have keys copied. Because the factory only supplies these keys to us, certification is guaranteed for many years to come.

Step 4.

Here you can review and change all entered values. This way you can also see what the price difference is between, for example, SKG** or SKG*** and a cylinder lock with or without a certificate. The sets from the selection aid are supplied keyed alike as standard. This means that all cylinders can be operated with the same key. A total of six keys are supplied as standard with a set of keyed alike cylinders. In this step you can easily add additional keys.
